Bio
Michael Pavia is the President and CEO of Sydor Technologies, providing customers with comprehensive, integrated solutions for ultrafast imaging systems, ballistic and impact testing systems and custom electronics/electro-optics for a variety of applications in energy, defense security and research worldwide.
He has also taught as an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at the Simon Business School at University of Rochester where he taught students how to take a new business concept, analyze its viability and develop a thorough business plan. He continues to mentor emerging entrepreneurs and also participates as an angel investor/board advisor.
In 2014, he was the recipient of the Rochester Regional Photonics Cluster Entrepreneurship Award and the Digital Rochester Visionary Leadership Award. In 2016 he was named Business Person of the Year by the Small Business Council of Rochester. His company has been recognized multiple times on the Inc5000 and Rochester Top-100 lists of fastest growing privately held companies.
